Attributes clear / reset to background value
This function allows you to reset values for all or selected attributes to their background values for all or part of the current model. You would probably do this if you have received new sample data and you need to estimate block values from the new sample data.
To run this function: Choose Block model > Attributes > Clear / Reset to background value, or...
Clear all Attributes
If you answer 'Y', all attributes' values will be reset. If you answer 'N' only the selected attributes will be reset.
Attribute Name
Enter the name of the attributes to be reset.
Apply Constraints
If you answer 'N', all blocks in the model will have their values for the selected attribute(s) reset to background. If you answer 'Y' the ENTER CONSTRAINTS form is displayed on completion of the form. See Make Constraint.
Choose Apply to clear the selected attributes, or Cancel.
Messages
The message
Clearing model <model name> ...
is written to the message window on selection, and the message
... Done
is written on completion of the function.
Result
Values for selected attributes in selected blocks will be reset to the background value which was determined at the time the attribute was created. The background value can be modified at any time by using the BM EDIT ATTRIBUTES function.
